Frequently Asked

Questions

  • What type of fume extraction system is ideal for welding applications?

Source capture is the preferred method of weld fume extraction.  This is because it captures and removes contaminants at their source before they reach the welding operator’s breathing zone. We sell fume extraction arms, mobile units, and downdraft tables for this purpose.

  • Do you have these in stock?

Yes, over 2000 fume extraction arms are in stock in our warehouse in various sizes.

  • What size fume extraction arms are available?

Every product page has a table included which shows all the diameter and length options available. There you will find our brochures, drawings/specs, and airflow curves. See hanging fume arms, standing fume arms, stainless steel fume arms, or telescopic fume arms.

  • How can I buy your product?

We typically sell through Dealers. If you contact us we can get you in touch with a local contact that can help you out. There are many ways to get in contact with one of our representatives. • How are the fume extraction arms mounted?

Hanging fume extraction arms are mounted to a mounting bracket attached to a wall or stanchion. Detailed mounting instructions are available in the IOM.

  • Do I have to buy the mounting bracket separate from the arm?

No, the bracket is included with the purchase of a fume extraction arm.

  • How far does a telescopic arm extend?

The arms extend from 48" to 84".  They are available in 4", 6" and 8" diameter.
